Coastal Star Romaine Lettuce is very easy to grow in fall and early spring into summer. It can be grown in cold climates if given protection from harsh freezes. This lettuce is highly resistant to corky root. It has dark green tasty leaves with crunchy bleached white hearts. Heads can get upwards to 12 inches tall and can be harvested once as head crop or can be harvested earlier as leaf lettuce crop.
